Alay Lakad 2011 Participation

Alay Lakad 2011

This year we will be celebrating the 38th year anniversary since Alay Lakad started way back in 1973. The Foundation will be holding the 38th Annual walk for a cause on September 25, 2011 at 6:00 in the morning. The venue will be at Fuente Osmena.

The Theme for this year’s affairs is “Bridging the Gap...For a Better Future…One step at a time.”

The Annual walk is a fund raising campaign to raise fund for the various programs of the Foundation for the out of school youth. The Cebu City Council passed resolution no. 12-3334-2011, dated June 22, 2011 urging full support for the walk.

The activities scheduled are being done with support from the Cebu City Government and the four major civic groups: Jaycees International, Lions International, Rotary International and Kiwanis International. Funds that are being raised will be used to fund the following program and projects:

  • High School Educational Assistance Program
  • College Scholarship
  • Skill Training Program
  • Livelihood Training Program
  • Alay Lakad Therapy Centers
  • Basura Mo, Kaugmaon Ko program
  • Adopt a Scholar Program
  • Job Placement and Apprenticeship Program
